A Phoenix Rising from the Ashes

Troop 528 is being brought back from retirement. After a few years dormancy, it is time to revive Troop 528 back to its former glory. The new Troop will serve as an excellent segue from Cub Scout Pack 528 into Boy Scouting. Consistent with the purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 528 intends to provide a program that offers effective character, citizenship, and personal fitness training for youth. The program achieves the BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness qualities among youth by focusing on a vigorous program of outdoor activities.

Be a Part of Our New Troop

Take part in the rebuilding of our foundation. We're looking for boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old, or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10 years old, but not yet 18 years old. We also invite Scouts from other Troops to transfer to our Troop and bring their experience to share.

We look forward to participating in monthly outdoor activities and possibly amateur radio classes. We also invite input and recommendations to make the Boy Scout experience great.

Atlanta Area Council enjoys one of the best areas in the country for scouting. We are surrounded by great outdoor resources such as Bert Adams Scout Reservation, Woodruff Scout Reservation, and Camp Allatoona Aquatics Base.

Troop 528 Leadership

Troop 528 is fortunate to have great leadership with many years of scouting experience. Our leaders are former Eagle Scouts, Cubmasters, Cub Scout Den Leaders, and Committee Chairmen. Their combined talents, passion, and dedication provides an outstanding foundation for Troop 528's BSA Program. As an interested and involved parent of Boy Scout(s), you too can be a part of our organization. Also, we are always looking for qualified Merit Badge Counselors to assist our Scouts on their advancement journey. If you are interested in a leadership position, or participating as a Merit Badge counselor, contact Dan Manza, our Assistant Scoutmaster.
